Hallo, are there public busses or taxes driving from airport to city Yerevan. Pay in dollars or euro possible? Where is Touristinformation in the city? Thank You.
Airport Yerevan
The public busses to and from the airport and within the city will take take any currency. Keep in mind that it%26#39;s probably best if you convert your money to their local currency ASAP. It%26#39;s called the dram. A ride within the cities routed small van-pool system will cost about 100 drams and a ride to in from the airport to the city-square will cost about 300 at the most! They also have a cute little subway system that is about 50 drams in one direction. Taxi service is cheaper if you call in advanced. Usually it is about 120 a kilometer. Min 500 drams. I hope that helps.
Airport Yerevan
Who knows you might already have traveled. Anyway of course there are Taxis at the Airport. Bad luck. Get a friend or pre-arrange a pick up. The competition is so fierce at the Airport and you really do not know who is a real taxi or not. Do not forget most flights arrive like around 3 AM or so and at that time you need to be diligent like anywhere else in the world. BE CAREFUL . As to bus not really. Get your agent or your hotel to arrange pick up from airport. IF you are still afraid to trust locals then try http://armeniaexplorer.com. They will take good care at a reaonable rate and full trust. I know that for sure but as a precaution I endorse no one. Things always change. Check out my BLOG http://travelsapien.blogspot.com
There you have information on Armenia and links to Armenia Explorer. My advise. Read the testimonials. They are more accurate than advertising. Enjoy your Journay.
