When to go/not to go

Just beginning to think of a trip to Armenia.

Winter sounds like a bad time to go - would April be OK?

Also - can one stay in Yerevan and take day trips to places of interest, or do you need to tour - and if so what are hotels like outside Yerevan?

Last question - anyone familiar with Armenian Royal Palace Hotel? Doesn%26#39;t seem to have been reviewed here (or anywhere else). But it looks good on the website.

hi Peter.

Glad to hear that you are interested in visiting my coountry. Yes you are right, winter is not the right timing, unless you like skying and would like to spend your entire time in tsaghkadzor. Starting from April it is ok, but better end of april.

Yes, you can stay in Yerevan and take minibuses, cars, taxies, private companies, travel agencies to anywhere you want to go. Depending on your pocket and will of the ways to choose.

as for lodging, there are hotels and B%26amp;Bs both in Yerevan and in the regions. I have not been in the hotel you had mentioned. so, I will not be the right person to advise. if you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards, Taguhi

I am planning to visit there as well!
